ABOUT ME
Luke Monday is an award-winning performer based in Southern California. Hailed by the Times of San Diego as “Excellent leading man material”, he has worked professionally all over the country and at sea. Luke toured North America with the company of Mamma Mia!, and prior to the pandemic, was the standby for Elder Price in the broadway national tour of The Book of Mormon.
In 2019, Luke debuted his one-man show Callback Queen to a sold-out crowd at Martini's Above Fourth Table + Stage in San Diego, CA. Theatre critic Pat Launer wrote, "He has such a gorgeous voice and affable, adorable presence. And his stories of NOT getting the roles he coveted inspire hope and perseverance in others."
Regionally, Luke has performed onstage with the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Capital Rep, McCoy Rigby Entertainment, San Diego Musical Theatre, Sacramento Music Circus, and Lamb’s Players Theatre. For his work in Once at Lamb's Players Theatre in Coronado, he was the recipient of a Craig Noel Award. Last summer, he joined the company of the Broadway-bound new musical, Lempicka at La Jolla Playhouse directed by Tony Award-winner Rachel Chavkin.
Most recently, Luke completed a highly successful limited run as Captain America in the world premiere of Rogers: The Musical at Disney's California Adventure. His voice can also be heard as Captain America in the Rogers: The Musical Original Cast Recording released in 2023 by Walt Disney Records.
